About
Decisions you can defend.
An independent AI advisory practice. We help executives and boards make decisions they can defend - to themselves, to their boards, and to history.
What we do
We are a strategic advisor to leadership teams navigating AI transformation. We help them set strategy, build governance that holds up under scrutiny, and avoid the predictable mistakes - without the noise of vendor agendas.
Why we exist
There is no shortage of advice on AI. There is a shortage of independent, senior, technically credible advice from someone whose only incentive is your outcome. Gaidant exists to fill that gap.
The thinking
Why this practice exists.
The name "Gaidant" reflects the role: to guide and assist. Not to deliver a product, not to staff a project - but to be a trusted voice in the room when the decisions are hard and the stakes are real.
The current AI market is unusually hostile to good decision-making. Every vendor has a tool to sell. Every consultancy has a billable hour to fill. Boards are receiving briefings authored by parties with a financial interest in the conclusion. Internal teams are flooded with conflicting advice and have neither the time nor the standing to filter it.
That is the gap we serve. An advisor whose only deliverable is the answer to your question - calibrated to your context, your strategy, and your appetite for risk. Sometimes that means a 60-minute conversation. Sometimes it means a six-month engagement. We scope to the question, not to the budget.
We are deliberately a small practice. Senior-only delivery is non-negotiable. The work cannot be subcontracted, leveraged, or productized without losing what makes it valuable.
How we operate
Six commitments behind every engagement.
Independent
No reseller margins. No platform commissions. The advice we give is the advice we'd take ourselves.
Senior-led
You work directly with the principal. The person you brief is the person who delivers the work.
Technically grounded
Strategy advice calibrated to what the technology actually does - not the marketing version.
Clear positions
We give you a recommendation, not a menu of options. You can disagree. You won't be left guessing.
Boundaries
We are deliberately small. We will tell you when we are not the right fit and refer you elsewhere.
Discreet
We do not publicize client work. Engagements stay private unless you choose otherwise.
The principal
One person you work with.

Alois Oh
Founder & Principal
Alois has spent his career at the intersection of strategy, technology, and execution - advising senior leaders on the decisions that shape how their organizations adopt new technology, and then helping them ship the work that follows.
His focus is the practical end of AI: framing the strategic question correctly, separating the signal from the vendor noise, and translating ambition into something a team can actually build, govern, and defend. He works equally comfortably with a board weighing a multi-year bet and with an engineering team deploying the system that delivers it.
